Having missed the previous three league games with a calf injury, Ronaldinho was keen to return to prove all the doubters wrong and showed flashes of his magic.
Despite fading int he second period, Deoc believes that he will soon be back to his best and that he always prefers to have the former Gremio ace in the side.
“I thought Ronaldinho looked fine, he was up for it and that’s important," he said.
"Perhaps he is a bit off the pace after not playing for a few days but I am sure we are a stronger side with Ronaldinho in the team."
The Portuguese midfielder stated that he felt the grass inside the Gottlieb-Daimler made life difficult for the visitors, but was still delighted with the victory.
"The ground was not as fast as we usually like and that was why the pace of the game was a bit slow," he continued.
Carles Puyol and Lionel Messi scored the decisive goals for the Blaugrana and Deco admitted he was relieved when the opening strike went to allow his team to relax slightly.
“There are no easy games in the Champions League. We had early chances to score but we didn’t take them," he explained.
"In the second half we had an early chance, and scored, which meant we were far more relaxed from then on."
Deco reflected on another strong performance from Messi, who scored his seventh goal in all competitions when putting the visitors two goals ahead.
“Messi is on top form. He is scoring goals that means a lot and is great for us," he concluded.
