Roma boss Luciano Spalletti again spoke of his disappointment that his team had not closed the gap on Serie A leaders Inter.

Spalletti had earlier in the week questioned the “suspect incidents” in the Nerazzurri’s 3-2 win over Parma that had helped them maintain their seven point lead over second-placed Roma.

"Considering what we have done, my team deserve to reduce this deficit on Inter," Spalletti said.

"We have to convince ourselves that regardless of whether we have players missing, the personality of the team is what makes the difference.

"But the fact is we have been able to keep up with an incredible Inter even when we were missing key players and this is a sign that my team has grown.

"We just have to continue to work hard and put pressure on Inter."
