The Viola held out to pip Milan to the all important fourth place finish which they had been working so hard to achieve all season. Della Valle insists that all their hard work over the course of the season has finally paid dividends.
“Fiorentina reached an important objective on Sunday after working hard for so many years,” Della Valle told the club’s official website.
“Now we have to work for the immediate future and look ahead to achieving greater things.
“There have been many sacrifices and many years of satisfaction and I believe we have given our fans something back by achieving what we have this season.
“We would like to show our gratitude to the tifosi who have stood by us for the past six or seven years.”
The Viola will be looking to continue their decent run and they are currently preparing to bring in some new faces in order to be more competitive next season.
