Concerns over Avram Grant's lack of appropriate qualification had reached Uefa, who were looking into the former Israel coach's eligibility to take the hot seat for a European game.
The verdict is out, and it is one that the Blues would have wanted to hear.
Grant has been allowed to take charge of next week's Champions League clash away to Valencia, with Uefa insisting that they will not raise an objection unless the Premier League does so and forwards the case.
"We are awaiting the outcome of the discussions between Chelsea, the Israeli Football Association and the English Premier League," said a UEFA spokesman.
"But we have no intention of banning him from the touchline or taking any other such disciplinary measure."
