Donati Is Happy With Milan Revenge

Celtic defeated the European Champions 2-1 at Celtic Park, courtesy of a 90th minute winner by Scott McDonald. The game was a rather special one for  Donaty is player who have played in milan 6 year before he would join Celtic in summer.

The 26-year-old had stated before the game that he wanted to prove a point to Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti that he was wrong to let him leave and he more than enacted his revenge.

“I feel sorry for Milan, but I remembered them as being better than that. I didn’t expect to see them play like that,” Donati gloated.

“But this is a very important win for us. We wanted this victory so much and we really fought for it.”

Donati also commented on the worrying scenes at the end when a Celtic fan ran onto the pitch and was involved in an altercation with Milan goalkeeper Dida.

“It isn’t a nice thing to see,” admitted the midfielder. “But I don’t think that it would be right to punish such a great set of fans for one man’s stupid gesture.”
