
As big clubs become richer and the wealth of talent within their squads get deeper, squad rotation is becoming a more widespread.
The policy is beneficial wherein it keeps the squad fresh, but can be damaging in the sense that there is a lack of continuity within the starting XI.
Van Persie enjoys the familiarity of his Arsenal team-mates and feels it benefits the way they play.

“But when Cesc gets the ball I know what he is thinking about. When Ade gets the ball I know what I can do for him. Everybody knows their part.
