The Best Team Of 2007

After winning the UEFA Cup and the Copa del Rey, as well as being in contention for the Spanish league title until the final day of last season, the Andalucian side retained top spot.

The IFFHS have named Sevilla as the best team of 2007 after they finished in first place for the entire 12 months thanks to their progress in all three competitions.

Manchester United finished in second place, but were unable to make up the 25-points gap as Sevilla remained undefeated in December.

The next best placed team from the Spanish league were Barcelona, who are just outside the top ten, in eleventh position, while Real Madrid are back in 19th place alongside Atlético de Madrid.

Italy have three sides in the top ten as AC Milan are third, due to their points boost after winning the Champions League, Inter are seventh and Roma are ninth.

Chelsea are fourth, but there are also three sides from outside of Europe in the running with Santos placed fifth, Boca sixth and Mexican outfit América in tenth.
