Wolfsburg Deny Reports Claiming Negotiations With Milan Over Edin Dzeko Are Taking Place

Wolfsburg have moved swiftly to deny Italian media reports that talks with Milan over Edin Dzeko were sparked into life over a bowl of pasta.

Earlier, Sportmediaset.it reported that the Rossoneri had wined and dined Wolfsburg director, Dieter Hoeness at a restaurant, where they had opened up dialogue over the Bosnian striker.

A €40million deal which included Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was at the centre of the report, suggesting €25m cash plus the player was the basis of talks.

But Hoeness has denied the claims. He says there was never any dinner and dance with the Rossoneri over Dzeko.

"There is nothing true," he told German press agency SID, as reported by La Repubblica.

Milan have been tracking the powerful striker since the summer when they failed to land him due to a breakdown in talks over the price of the Bosnian international.
